About Me
Hey there,
Welcome to The Handmade Homestead!!
A little bit about us, who we are, and who we aspire to be. We are passionate about home design, entrepreneurship, and sharing simple swaps for a healthier lifestyle. Encouraging you to make your homestead wherever your feet may fall – whether thats on acreage or just a patio of your apartment. There is something for you here.
We are on a mission to find joy in the little things, simplify life, and find healthy alternatives for everything we know and love. Living life the way God designed for it to be and finding out what exactly that means along the way.
Who are we?
A few of our favorite things (besides the obvious spending time with family, traveling the world, and running our businesses) are deep conversations… the kind that are a little awkward but also feel like therapy, baking bread or anything really, cuddling up with a good book and a latte by the fireplace, and basically anything alternative to the norm (be it tiny houses, living with less, a debt free life, growing your own food, or all of the above and so much more).
What do we enjoy?
We are passionate about helping others to become all that God created them to be. We believe it is entirely more important to have a full life than a house full of stuff (you could say we are pro-minimalist, but the kind that has more than just one fork.) Home design and DIY home projects (that don’t look DIY’d) are some of our favorite things to do and share. We are those people that wander the aisle at the grocery store reading every label and googling what all the crazy words actually are.. then setting it back on the shelf because if you can’t read the label you probably shouldn’t eat it anyways… but more on that later.
Truth is, we want to have it ALLL without the feeling of being completely overwhelmed about ALLL the things. Now, what ALLL is, that’s the real question that we are taking you with us to find out! You will find us here sharing about all the crazy home design projects, our journeys as an entrepreneurs (with maybe a few too many irons in the fire), and so much more. We can’t wait to take you all along for the ride!
