Top 10 Dark Green Paint Colors
These are my top 10 dark green paint colors that I personally chose between when picking a color for our guest bath and our master bedroom. I think all of these would look beautiful with dark Moody wallpaper in a bathroom or to color drench a bedroom – like what I am using them for. I also think they would be a fun island color if you like the two-tone kitchen cabinet style. If you have the right space, I think any of these would be awesome cabinet colors. Overall – they are my favorite pretty dark greens!
1. Black Forest Green by Benjamin Moore

This color is very dark with just a tinge green. I think it would look beautiful with dark Moody wallpaper in a bathroom or to color drench a bedroom! This was my first choice but after more research I think it might be a little to dark for what I am wanting but it is still a contender!

A nearly black shade of green that inspires thoughts of historic estates overgrown with ivy.
5. 1905 Green by Magnolia

“While working on the design concept for our coffee shop, I was flipping through paint swatches and found myself drawn toward two different colors a deep blue, and a jewel-tone green. The idea of combining them to create a custom color is how 1905 Green came to be. I love the way this moody, dark green comes to life on the walls, balancing depth and sophistication with familiarity and comfort.” – Joanna Gaines
I think this is the color we are going to go with as it is a rich dark color but in a timeless fashion. Its not too dark or black where it throws off the whole design, yet it is dark enough where it adds a certain moody aspect to the feel of it.

6. Jasper by Sherwin Williams
This is a softer version of Essex Green to me. It is still very rich but not as sharp as Essex Green. However, I feel like it is a perfect mix between 1905 Green and Essex Green.

This deep, dark green resonates with a quiet force.
7. Locally Grown by Magnolia

Locally Grown by Magnolia is the most brown compared to all the rest. I think it would be especially beautiful in a boys room or mudroom. It is very similar to 1905 Green but with a more brown/olive pull instead of blue/jewel tones.

8. Night Watch by Sherwin Williams
This color is closest related to Black Forest Green by BM but I think it is slightly softer in the light and a bit more green undertones instead of teal undertones.

A bold yet soothing hue that exudes sophistication and tranquility
9. Rainy Afternoon by Benjamin Moore

The lightest of the dark greens, this color has a touch of grey to make it a beautiful yet bold green choice. Perfect if you want contrast but not as much of the moody vibe as some of the other choices.

As serene as a drizzly Sunday, this deep green is grounded by hints of gray.
10. Shade Grown by Sherwin Williams
Lastly, we have Shade Grown by Sherwin Williams. It is another very popular green paint color and for good reason. It has a touch of brown and charcoal undertones yet still gives a bold statement to more neutral color palettes.

Altogether, I dont think you can go wrong chosing any of these colors. As I stated before, they would all work beautifully as a fun color drench option or accent wall. Whatever it is you are looking to paint, these are my Top 10 favorite green paint colors!
