Top 10 Must Haves for Your Wedding Registry
In no particular order, these are my top ten must haves for your wedding registry! There are so many other things that I think are important too, but this list is my must haves. I will make another post for all the random things you might not think of.

Breville Smart Oven® Air Fryer Pro
This was one of the top items I wanted on our wedding registry. The main reason I loved this pick is because we don’t use a microwave in our home. This is a similar size that will take over that space in our home, but it will also take over all the same tasks and then some.
This Smart Oven Air Fryer has 13 different cooking functions: Toast (up to 9 slices), Bagel, Broil, Bake, Roast, Warm, Pizza, Proof, Airfry, Reheat, Cookies, Slow Cook, Dehydrate. It is essentially an air fryer, toaster, mini oven, dehydrator, microwave, proofer, and a slow cooker all-in-one. You can bake cookies and muffins, cook a turkey (up to a 14lb), dehydrate your favorite fruits, temperature regulate your bread proofing process, bake a pizza, and so much more. While I don’t think this can replace a Crock-Pot, I plan on it being our air fryer, microwave, dehydrator, toaster, proofer, and sometimes even our oven all-in-one.
Since it can replace so many different items, the $400 price-tag is a great deal in my opinion. After all there’s nothing worse than having a million items out on your counter or having to get them out of the cupboard every time you use them. Lastly, while I haven’t actually used this, the reviews are very good and most people love it!
High Quality Cookware
Next on my list of must haves is high quality cookware. While there are SO many options out there, I am super particular on the types of cookware that I use. There are many cookware options that are made with toxic endocrine disrupting materials. Therefore, in order to stay away from those, I am leaning towards cast iron and carbon steel options. Stainless steel is a good option as well, but most brands use aluminum core which can leach into your food if the stainless surface gets scratched. So, if you choose to go with a stainless steel brand like All-Clad that has an aluminum core just make sure to use spatulas that don’t scratch like silicone etc.
On the top of my list for cookware is Smithey or Finex cast iron. These are both great brands of cast iron that have great reviews and are built to last. They also have pans with lids, which is something you don’t normally get with cast iron. I am leaning more towards the Smithey brand I think because it is a little more lightweight but the Finex is a solid choice. Its a hard one to decide between!
Le Creuset ® enameled cast iron is a MUST add. While the price tag is up there, they are meant to be heirlooms so they are built to last. They have saucepans and pots, which are both great options. As far as materials go, just make sure they are made in France. The items that are made in China are often made with lower quality materials and are known to leach lead (most of the time it is their ceramic ware).
High Quality Bedding
For my wedding registry, I went with Brooklinen Organic Cotton sheets. I do not personally own these yet, as they are on my registry. However, I have heard nothing but great things from this company and rave reviews from most of the consumers who have them. As always, opt for organic cotton whenever possible. Yes, it’s more expensive but it’s much healthier for you and the environment. I know you can was regular cotton and remove any of the bad stuff that was once on it. Just think, how much does it actually remove and isn’t it better if you don’t have that problem to begin with? On top of that, its much healthier for those who live near the farms and the workers who work on them.
My personal favorite bedding brand that I already own is American Blossom Linen. They are Made in the USA, which is one of my favorite things but they are also eco friendly. While they aren’t 100% organic cotton they are 55% USA cotton & 45% USA organic cotton. We love USA made whenever possible and it’s becoming increasingly harder to find. I have had these for about a year now and they get better with every wash.
Vitamix Blender
If you don’t have a Vitamix already, you are missing out. This is one of the best all around items you can have for your kitchen. I use mine everyday for making smoothies. It makes them much smoother and “smoothie shop” quality than my old Ninja. You can also blend hot items such as soup. I don’t use mine to make flour but I have heard of people doing that as well.
I have the basic model that I have used for years, but I did register for the attachments. This food processor attachment I feel will be so helpful when doing food prep and all sorts of different things. This stainless steel container attachment is great for smoothies and hot items. It is also dishwasher safe and is supposed to be much easier to clean. Not to mention, it’s plastic free which is always great. You definitely can’t go wrong with adding a Vitamix to your wedding registry, regardless of whichever model you choose!
Instant Pot Pro 10-in-1 Pressure Cooker
This Insta Pot is one of their best models on the market. The main thing I was trying to find with a pressure cooker was a stainless steel inner pot, which was surprisingly hard to find. Be sure to add one with a stainless steel pot to your wedding registry. InstantPot typically always has stainless, but alwaysdouble check. The last thing you want to do is cook all your yummy, healthy food in a bunch of toxic chemicals. I went back to the trusty infamous InstantPot and this particular model is much prettier than the normal instant which I love. More importantly though, it has all the functions I need and want as well.
With this model there are 10 different settings. For me, I wanted something that I can cook my rice, legumes, and stocks with mainly. However, I also wanted to be able to make yogurt and eggs… maybe even a cheesecake if I got the wild hair. With this model you can do all those things and more. It also has a 8qt pot vs a 6qt which is nice when you are trying to meal prep or cook for a family.
High Quality Knives – Shun Knives
My husbands brother got us a few of these knives when we bought our first home and they are the best! They have a unique design and are extremely high quality. I can’t recommend them enough! I love this one specifically, the Santoku is great for everyday use. If you got just one, that is the one I would choose. This Nakiri knife is a fun step up, it is also a great everyday all purpose knife.
For a paring knife, this classic paring knife is the one I would go with for your wedding registry. I love the handles on all the ones I have linked above. Just know that you can’t go wrong with any of these Shun knives. They also have this knife block set, if you want to splurge on the whole set all at once. It has everything that you can possibly need. You could add this to your Amazon registry and make it a group gift or just add the ones you want individually. You can’t go wrong either way!
Kitchenaid Stand Mixer
This one was so obvious that I almost forgot to add it to the list of wedding registry must haves! If you don’t have a Kitchenaid Stand Mixer, this is my #1 must have kitchen item. There are so many fun colors to choose from, I went with the 5 quart tilt head model in black. There are so many different attachments and fun mixing bowls that you can get. They are so versatile, you can use them for everything from cookies to mashed potatoes to bread and everything in between. Needless to say, I’m a big fan!
This is the model I have, but depending on the size of meals or desserts you are cooking it never hurts to get the bigger model! One thing to keep in mind though about the tilt-head models is that you are able to use all the different cute bowls that they have available. With the lift models not all the bowls attach properly on them, so just keep that in mind. I do use my multiple different bowls pretty regularly, so they aren’t just pretty, they’re functional too.
I also highly recommend adding the shredder attachment. It’s my go to for cheese and makes clean up a breeze! The pasta attachment is also a great option as well and makes making pasta from scratch so much easier. The ice cream attachment is a must for homemade ice cream and it doesn’t take up near as much room as a whole other appliance. I have a few different of these bowls and I love them, not only for their looks but also for being able to use multiple different bowls while meal prepping or baking multiple dishes.
Shark Cordless Detect Pro or Dyson Cordless Stick Vacuum
A high quality vacuum is a must add to your wedding registry. While I am a Shark girl and have had a shark vacuum since I was in college during my house cleaning days, the Dyson is a great option as well. Both of my sisters have this stick vacuum by Dyson and love it. I just love my Shark vacuums so I haven’t switched over. Regardless, make sure to put one of these on your registry you won’t be disappointed.
This Shark Cordless Detect Pro has an auto-empty feature that I am here for. I don’t like cleaning a vacuum but even more than that I don’t like having a dirty one, so this is a huge plus. I have never had one of their cordless models personally, but I have had this model for years and loved them.
High Quality Coffee Maker
The two that were on the top of my list to add to my wedding registry were the Moccamaster 10-Cup Coffee Maker and Pure Over Glass Coffee Maker. They both play a different role, but I am excited to try them. I love coffee and am somewhat of a coffee “snob” so I like to try different brewing methods all the time.
If you are the type that prefers a good ol regular pot of coffee, the Moccamaster 10-Cup Coffee Maker would probably be your best option. I love the Pure Over Glass Coffee Maker for the fact that it is solely glass and you don’t need a filter so for the eco-friendly, health conscious, this is a great option for you to try. If you are like me, you can definitely add them both because I feel like they are pretty different and will each give you a different result.
For traveling, I love my Aeropress! I literally take it with me wherever I go (along with my own freshly ground coffee). They have this newer clear version that is super cool. They are made of plastic but it’s free of BPA and Phalates so that is huge. I wouldn’t recommend them otherwise. They also have these stainless steel reusable filters and nice little organization stands that help keep them displayed nicely all in one spot. Huge plus, they are Made in the USA!
High Quality Dinnerware
A must add to your wedding registry is high quality dinnerware! Corelle is a very affordable brand, they are the best quality for everyday use (especially with kids). They are virtually indestructible and this simple white with no pattern is my favorite. They make soup/pasta bowls as well which are a must add! These are super lightweight as well, I wouldn’t hesitate using them for any occasion. Whether for a picnic or a barbecue or even a dinner party.
For your more fancy dinners or special occasions Pillivuyt Coupe Porcelain. It is only available on Williams Sonoma as far as I know. My sis-in-law has these and they are so nice. They got them for their wedding and they still look brand new over 8 years later! They are heavier, made of porcelain, are super durable, and high quality. You can feel the quality when you pick them up! I would probably be a bit more hesitant to use these outside or for anything that you weren’t actually sitting down at the table for as they are pricy. However, they are an heirloom piece and Coupe is a timeless choice!
